Within the Cerrano Marine nature reserve<\/strong><\/a>, surrounded by green hills with far reaching views of the Gran Sasso\u00a0 and Majella mountains, Pineto awaits you with its golden fine sand beach.<\/p>\n

It has been awarded since 2006 with the \u2018Bandiera Blu\u2019 for the water quality and services available to tourists, and since 2016 it has also been awarded the \u2018Bandiera Verde\u2019 which is a beach recommended by Italian pediatricians.<\/p>\n

An uncontaminated corner of Abruzzo, and it has also been named amongst the \u201912 prettiest beaches of Italy\u2019, based on a ranking by Legambiente and has earned an EMAS certification for sustainable tourism.<\/p>\n

The Cerrano Marine Nature Reserve has been awarded an Oscar for Ec0-sustainable tourism in 2017.<\/p>\n

Pineto is<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

Pineto, a beauty by the sea, takes its name from the invention of Luigi Corrado Filiani, who in the 30\u2019s, planted the pine tree forest for 4kms backing the beach.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an ideal location for a tranquil and relaxing holiday , even though you will always find plenty to do for couples or families alike.<\/p>\n

In the heart of town there is a sports centre with tennis and basketball courts and 5 \u2018a side football. There is also a roller skating rink, one the biggest in Italy, which has been used for national and international competitions.<\/p>\n

Every evening the main street is closed to traffic and is an ideal walk to go and enjoy an ice-cream in the numerous bars or do some shopping in the varied shops and boutiques.<\/p>\n

For a bit of romance you could take a stroll in the pineta, followed by a glass of bubbly under the stars in one of the beachside lidos.<\/p>\n
